This is a commercial wall with toproping, bouldering and lead climbing areas.
Qualifications: SPA required; 1:6 ratio. You must show proof of Public Liability insurance.
Instruction: The centre have their own SPA qualified staff available. Costs 2000 were £2.50 per young person plus £12/hour to hire an instructor.
Equipment : available for hire. Notes: no Fig 8s or Italian hitches to belay.

This is an old wall about 7m high with wooden holds and ledges set into brick. It is built in the corner at the top of a court, with scaffold bars to belay at the top and some bolts.
The centre require SPA holders, although I could not find anyone who has any knowledge of climbing qualifications. The wall is little used, although apparently sometimes Scout groups use it. Ratio 1:10; max number of people in the wall 20. £2.25 juniors, £2.50 adults.
The only way to the top is to lead or solo up, so you would have to have an SPA and be happy to get to the top of the wall under your own steam. There is no equipment at the centre, nor any instructors.
Overall: An old style facility, little used. Unless you are well qualified and equipped and need a very local session for some reason, maybe not the best venue.

This is a small 5m high wall in a room in the leisure centre, built by Bendcrete. There is 3 inch matting on the floor (beware the gap between wall & matting).
Instruction etc: There is no rental of anything - none available. Anyone who signs a disclaimer can climb or instruct on the wall. No need for public liability proof.
Qualifications - Level 1. You need all your own equipment.
SPA
This is a large commercial climbing wall with good facilities. You need an SPA to instruct here. Bring proof of your qualification.
